From the very inception of Inman Heating & Cooling in 1964, our company has been a family affair. Upon returning to St. Louis after my discharge from the U.S. Navy, I decided to start my own company to support my growing family after spending three years as an apprentice servicing furnaces. As my children started to grow, they’d return the favor on days off from school and summer break by canvassing for furnace services and ductwork cleaning. Back in those days, coal was the most common fuel source, so you can imagine what they’d look like after a day cleaning the soot out of our customers’ ductwork. Luckily, their mom was ready with the hose when the truck pulled up the hill!
As the years went by and the nest grew emptier, we made the move to downsize our home and relocated to
Columbia, IL. This is where our two youngest children attended school, which was a huge boon for our family and business. In 2007, my youngest son Craig joined me in the heating and cooling business. As a father and son team, we take tremendous pride in drumming up referrals through exceptional HVAC service.
In November of 2017, my lovely wife Josephine and I will have been together for 61 years and raised no fewer than 11 well-rounded children, with another 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren in tow! The support and love that has made Inman Heating & Cooling a success from its very first day persist today. Each of our customers is treated like family, with trust and respect our top priority at every turn.
